Course Purpose

There is a Divine vision for your ministry. This is a Divine idea of your ministry thriving, fulfilling its mission, and fulfilling the overall mission of United Centers for Spiritual Living. Show me a ministry that is thriving and growing and I’ll show you a ministry that has a clear vision.

A clear vision is more than the vision statement. It is a divine covenant, a sacred impulsion that is so vitally alive in the collective consciousness of the ministry and its leaders that it has to express and fulfill itself. You don’t need to rely on your own human understanding or exerted effort to move forward in direction of your dreams and visions. Visioning is a powerful way to open up to, realize and actualize this divine vision, this sacred impulsion, in a way that enriches you and transforms the world.

A sacred space is provided for you to awaken divine clarity and insight, deepen your sacred calling, and develop a greater level of mastery in understanding, using and facilitating the visioning process. You will be immersed in:

• The fundamentals of visioning (what it is, how it works, how to use it, letting it use you…).

• Support in developing a regular personal visioning practice and deepening in the transformational nature of visioning.

• Guidance in starting a vision team for your ministry or life’s work, and facilitating the visioning process.

• Dealing with resistance and inspiring team and community members to use and trust visioning.

• The experience of the visioning process itself, in the form of several rounds of visioning for your life and your life's work.

Instructional Methods

Because experience is the best teacher, this class will be highly experiential, with extended periods of spiritual practice blended with lecture, interactive large and small group dialogue, and self inquiry.
