Why do you offer TeleCourses & TeleCircles?

We started offering TeleCourses and TeleCircles eight years ago at the request of people living in other parts of the country who wanted to benefit from the expertise, sacred space and transformative work of Higher Vision Institute.

Many people say there isn't anyone in their area offering this kind of skilled support and expertise. No matter where you live in the world, you are invited to attend our events. We’ve had participants from all over the USA, as well as Canada, Nigeria, Germany and the United Kingdom.

What is a TeleCourse? What is a TeleCircle?

Our TeleCourses allow you to learn something new or advance your knowledge about visioning --all via conference call.

Our TeleCircles are a convenient way to participate in guided sessions with one of our skilled visioning facilitators via phone. No matter where you live, you can join us and experience visioning.

With both TeleCourses and TeleCircles each participant dials in to a central phone number and “meets” by conference call. You can participate from anywhere as long as you have access to a telephone or VOIP such as Skype.

What are the benefits?

How does it work?

Our TeleCourses and TeleCircles take place via a conference call phone line. Participants from all over the world gather together at a scheduled time using a telephone or a VOIP service such as SKYPE. You will receive an email containing instructions on how to access the call using a phone number and personal access code.

If you participate by phone, depending on your phone plan, you may also incur a nominal long-distance charge for the call itself or minutes used. You can also use an inexpensive calling card and a land line to access the call.

What happens during a TeleCourse?

Our TeleCourses are highly interactive. Time is allotted for presentation of the material, experiential exercises, small group discussion and questions. You'll receive an outline and course materials by email or postal mail.

What happens during a Visioning TeleCircle?

.

During our Visioning TeleCircles there is time for meditation to center the mind and open the heart, followed by visioning, with periods of silence interspersed throughout. Time is also allotted for journaling, personal sharing, setting intentions and prayer. Those who want to have a quiet, more introspective experience may opt out of personal sharing and remain on their inner journey during the call.

Can I really learn course material and experience visioning over the phone?

We have offered these telecourses and telecircles for eight years and have developed a real skill for creating sacred space and a sense of community over the phone. People who attend our TeleCourses and TeleCircles comment on how connected they feel and how rich and meaningful the experience is.

What if I miss a session?  

.

Our TeleCourses are recorded. Recordings are available within 24 hours of the class session for you to download to your computer or mp3 player. You will receive handouts and session materials to further support you in learning and integrating the materials.

Due to the personal nature of the sharing that takes place during spiritual practice circles, our TeleCircles are not recorded. However, our Visioning TeleCircles meet weekly so if you are unable to attend a session you can simply join us the next time you are available.
